Hi there,

I'm pretty knew to this Yubico thing, I only got my YubiKey three or so days ago. I'm currently implementing YubiKey validation into my websites and various applications. I found out about the YubiAdmin tool and have successfully installed that and got it running. I have also 'installed' YubiAuth, but when I access my administration dashboard in YubiAdmin it is still shown under the Not Installed tab. Any ideas of what I am doing wrong here?

What operating system are you running, and which method of installation did you use to install YubiAdmin, as well as YubiAuth?

I'm running Linux (Ubuntu 13.04) and I installed via the source code.

The recommended method of installation is via our PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~yubico/+archive/stable/

Installing our Ubuntu packages from there should install them in such a way that the configutation works out of the box.

Otherwise, please check that the file /etc/yubico/auth/yubiauth.conf exists and is readable/writable by yubiadmin.
Generally the YubiAdmin daemon is run as root as it needs to be able to read and modify configuration files of other apps.

Hi, thanks for the response. I've added the entry's to my sources.list and ran the add-apt-repository commands but when I try to install the packages it gives me this:

Those packages that are failing do not exist, as they have different names.
Do you really need all of those packages for what you're trying to do? It looks like you're trying to install everything in our PPA. You should only install those packages that you have a need for. If you're just trying to get YubiAdmin and YubiAuth to work, all you need is:

sudo apt-get install python-yubiauth python-yubiadmin

Anyway, the correct names of the failing packages are:

libyubikey-dev or libyubikey0, depending on your needs.
libykclient3 or libykclient-dev, depending on your needs.
python-yubiadmin
libpam-yubico
