I have 2 YubiKeys: one standard version and one recently obtained NEO (fw 3.01). On both keys I successfully configured slot 2 to HMAC-SHA1 for Windows logon (Windows7 HP 64bit). Using the YubiKey Logon Administration tool I can assign the standard Yubikey to a user, but the same tool doesn't recognize the NEO key. When I insert the NEO, both the 'configure' as the 'test' button stays greyed out.

Is the YubiKey logon API actually compatible with the YubiKey NEO? I guess it should, but I can't get it to work. Please advise.

Regards,
Paul

Hello pkolenbr,

We are aware of this issue and it will be fixed in the next release of our Windows logon tool.

I wanted to see if there was still an issue with this. I am running Windows 7 and have a Neo running firmware version 3.3.0 and have setup Challenge-Response on slot 2, but the Logon Administrator's Configure and Test buttons are still grey. I tried rebooting, re-setting up the Challenge-Response, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

There is another thread (below) going on this with more information.

Hello Matt -

The issue you are experiencing is likely an issue with the current version of the Windows Logon Tool and a NEO with U2F enabled. To verify this is the only issue, we'd recommend disabling U2F with the NEO Manager and testing the Windows Logon Tool again. If it works with U2F disabled, then an updated version of the Client API needs to be installed.

Download the ZIP file here: https://www.yubico.com/dist/Yubikey-Cli ... taller.zip

Once you've downloaded the file, extract the files, and run the executable file appropriate to your Operating System (x86 or x64). After the install is complete, restart the computer. The Logon Tool should work now. We'll update the Windows Logon Tool download soon with the new Client API packaged, but for now that should solve the issue.

I am using some Yubikeys for Windows Logon with following OSes
1) Windows 7 HP x64 Eng
2) Windows 7 HP x64 Rus

I have tried any possible combinations to logon with my keys:
1) Yubikey Standard 2.3.3 - works fine
2) Yubikey Nano 2.4.0 - works fine
3) Yubikey Neo 3.3.0 - not configurable (mode: "OTP+U2F" and "OTP+CCID+U2F")

In last (Yubikey Neo) case I have installed an updated for Yubikey Clients for x64 that you provided earlier. I restarted machine many times but Yubikey Neo do not configurable.

There are users which work with Google Apps and Windows Apps simultaneously. They have to use two keys (OTP + U2F).

We have no plan to purchase old Yubikey Standard keys but Yubikey Neo only.
Please, provide a viable solution for Windows Logon with Yubikey Neo keys.

I agree with the previous comment.

I also bought a Yubikey Neo and cannot get it working with Windows 7 (exactly the same problem as mentioned).

Please solve this problem, I have no interest to know that it works with other keys, I just need to get it working on my NEO.

I have tried a new Yubikey Logon release.
Yubikey Neo keys were configured succesfully.
The problem solved.
