Heya,

Was just wondering where I would find a Yubico/Yubikey IRC channel to idle on and occasionally chat/discuss/ask questions :)

Cheers,

So, I've set up #yubikey on Freenode. One person has already joined and we even talked about yubikey for a bit :)

If an employee of Yubico would like to join the chan and make it official, I can transfer ownership to them. Otherwise, if Yubico isn't happy with a #yubikey channel on Freenode, I will drop it and move to ##yubikey.

Most importantly, however, come and chat about all things Yubikey :)

Ah - nice initiative.

To be honest, I've never been on IRC so I'll have to read the beginner's guide :)

It seems most appropriate that we should make sure one of us are on-line at certain times. Let's say a specific time at a specific weekday ?

Thats a very interesting idea - I've never seen anything like that on IRC, except perhaps during things like podcast recordings.

It would certainly give people a reason to join and get talking. I've learned many things just hanging out on IRC and chatting. It is also very satisfying to get and give (near) instant help.

I look forward to chatting to everyone soon :)

Yes, thats an unfortunate side-effect of an irc chan that hasn't hit critical mass. Come in and idle if possible, then conversations will naturally form. Having said that, there has been some productive chat in there :)
