Didn't know where to post this so will try 'General'

If I have an truecrypted disk I obviously need my yubikey to boot. Having booted can I remove the yubikey or does it need to be inserted for the duration of the session? How about after sleep/hibernate?

This is for a Mac powerbook in case it matters

Ed

I thought whole drive encryption with pre-boot authentication is not yet supported in the Mac-Version of TrueCrypt?

BTT: As far as I know - you just need to plug in the Yubikey to enter the password to start the decryption - I think you do not have to keep it plugged in - because unless you touch the button, the Yubikey won't do anything :)
What happens after sleep/hibernate - well, just try it out, that is possibly a matter of settings.

The truecrypt site suggests that all truecrypt volumes are unmounted and passwords are erased prior to hibernation, if so the yubikey would need to be present to wake up from sleep. Makes sense really.
