After using my Yubikey to log in to Lastpass should other sites you have in Lastpass also request you to use your key?

The Yubikey is used by LastPass to enable 2-FA for their premium accounts.

If you have a LastPass premium and you configured your Yubikey correctly, everytime you logon you should be asked for a Yubico OTP regardless of the website/application.

My key seems to be setup correctly and I do have premium account. I need to use my key to log in to last pass, but not to any of the sites after that that have a LastPass password. Also when I log in to this forum it buts up a saved version of the last otp from my key.

The filled in form with the old OTP when accessing the forum is caused by your browser which is saving the form input. You can disable this behavior in the options of your browser. I don't know if the lastpass plugin in may be cause this issue as well (as i am not a lastpass user)

Regarding LastPass, once you have authenticated you wont need to re-authenticate for every login. This would make the user experience an incredible pain.
If you are being prompted for authentication only when you open your passwords' database first time that is an expected behavior.

However you may want to look into LastPass options or contact lastpass support for more information about its functionalists at support@lastpass.com
