How to disable YubiKey Logon

Disable YubiKey Logon, not enabled in safemode:
1. Boot to safemode
2. Run the YubiKey Logon Administration utility
3. Disable YubiKey Logon


Disable YubiKey Logon, when enabled in safemode:
1. Boot your computer with a rescue disk containing a utility to edit the registry
2. Set the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Yubico\auth\settings\enabled" in regedit to 0.
3. Reboot your computer and you will be able to logon without using your YubiKey
4. Run the YubiKey Logon Administration utility
5. Disable YubiKey Logon

I'm all about maximum security, my question is:
Is there a way to make Yubikey disappear in registry?
Exp: If LOGON and LOGON in safemode are Enabled, the next step will be using Different OS to get to the Registry and Disabling Yubikey Logon, is there a way to prevent it?
