Guys,

I´ve been trying to implement OpenGPG in the yubikey neo through the guide you published. I am stacked with two problems:

- Smart card driver not found (try to forget this issue as said in one of the topics)

- But as I try to generate the key I am presented with this message:

gpg : selecting openpgp failled: card not present

gpg: key operation not possible : card not present

Any suggestion

I am using a notebook with windows 7 64

tks

Hello,

What mode did you put the Neo in?
In mode 81 you have to touch the button once after inserting it to "insert" the card (and can touch the button again to remove the card).

Do you by any chance have another smartcard reader connected (or integrated) to your computer?

That error should only appear from the NEO in mode 81 where you have to touch the button to insert the card.

Does the state of the LED on the YubiKey change when you run commands? And what state is it in to begin with?

If you touch the button, does it emit an OTP?

The led does not chage with commands. The state begins with otp.

The button is emitting OTP .

Hum.. so that's eliminated..

What firmware version is your NEO? There was a bug in 3.0.2 that might show up like this...

Could of course be a bug there, but in that case one we haven't found and fixed yet..

So.. Would you mind posting (or mail to me at klas@yubico.com if you don't want it public) a screenshot of the relevant part of your device manager.. A screenshot of what it looks like for me when working in gpg is attached.

I manage to get this error when running a virtual windows on a linux host (VirtualBox) and the host has pcscd running.
