I would like to use an yubikey for two purposes :
a) secure login to an existing web application
b) store documents downloaded from the web application, encrypted on the key (maybe with some local application like truecrypt)

Both features complement each other and provide full document security in a document management application

Is this possible ?

a) is completely possible, that is what a Yubikey is supposed to do, have ha look in the developers section for tips on how to secure a webpage

b) is impossible since there is no user memory on the key, it is just a "keyboard"
