I installed the applet on my Yubikey NEO but I cant seem to actually make it work.

I'm trying to add my Google account to the authenticator (desktop client). I add the secret from the barcode and the authenticator gives me the OTP code but Google say's the code is incorrect. Anyone have a similar issue?

I have the same problem with my Microsoft Account. I paste in the code and punch in the OTP generated by the authenticator, but it's not accepted.

There could be a number of reasons for that.

Is your computer clock in sync with a time server?

Yep! ntpd is running and time seems solid. Any other possibilities? My yubikey is running 3.0.4 firmware, if that's relevant?

EDIT: It seemingly works fine if I add the account on Windows. The codes generated work afterwards on Linux as well.

Odd.

At any rate, I've updated the Arch Linux wiki on how to get the applet and desktop authenticator client installed. So for those on Linux, check it out here. It's pretty straight forward.

Do you have the latest version of the Yubico Authenticator and of the CAP file?

https://developers.yubico.com/yubioath-desktop/

Have you tried from the Android App to add a credential and read it from the Desktop ?
