Often I find myself with my USB ports all in use, or wanting to enter an OTP into my iPhone. Both of these use cases restrict the use of the Yubikey. It's possible to get around them by temporarily unplugging another device which is often not desirable, or in the case of the iPhone I could email an OTP from my laptop to the phone.

But, how difficult would it be for there to be some type of USB keyboard Bluetooth adapter? Basically all it has to do is interface with an existing generic keyboard like the Yubikey and make it a bluetooth device.
Now I can't find anything like this on the internet at all so am assuming there is a technical reason this has not been done?

Or has anyone in this forum found a better solution?

I don't know how this would work with an iPhone, but for connecting to your computer there's this: http://www.iogear.com/product/GUWH104KIT/.

Hey Bryan53, yeah there's lot's of stuff out there like that. But that device from iogear is not bluetooth. In order for it to be useful is has to be bluetooth, otherwise for example it won't work with the iphone or any other mobile device.

Because our sites are now accessible from smartphones we switched from Yubikeys to Swekeys.
There is no need to plug the Swekey in the smartphone to make it works, you just have to do a kind of pairing between the smartphone and the the swekey using a web interface then it magically works... Amazing!

Dear tester

Yubico supports free speech, even when it is saying something positive about our competitors.

We do not know what your association with Swekey is, so we won't call it advertising, but we do see your multiple posts as a campaign for Swekey.

We think it inappropriate to make such posts in our forum; however, we will let our customers decide as we believe in our products and the excellent value our customers benefit from.
