Trying to program a NEO with the Personalization Tool on OS X. I got the error:
YubiKey could not be configured. Perhaps protected with configuration protection access code?
It turns out, pcscd was running, and it's preventing all sorts of things from working correctly with the smartcard. I killed pcscd (need sudo for that) and then the personalization tool worked just fine.
I think all these Yubico apps that need access to the smartcard on OS X should just check if pcscd is running - and, if it is, issue a warning or something.
