I would prefer the short touch to be the static password and the long touch to be the ubikey. Is there a way to switch them?

As of now, it is not possible to swap the configurations in the YubiKey i.e. the first configuration (triggered by short touch) can not be copied to the second configuration (triggered by long touch) and vise versa.

If you want to configure your first configuration to the static password mode and want to configure the second configuration to the OTP mode, you need to reprogram your YubiKey using the Yubico Personalization Tool which can be downloaded from the link below:

http://www.yubico.com/personalization-tool

Please also note, that once you reprogram your YubiKey, you will no longer be able to validate the OTP emitted from your YubiKey with the online YubiKey OTP validation server. If you want to again validate the OTP emitted from your newly reprogrammed YubiKey with the online Yubico OTP validation server, you need to upload the AES Key to the OTP validation server.

The step by step instructions to upload the AES Key is available at the following forum link:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=447&p=1928#p1928

To be more specific, please refer to the following instructions:

    1. Download the Yubico Personalization Tool from Yubico.

    http://www.yubico.com/personalization-tool

    2. Use the "Configure a Yubikey for upload to the Yubico server" option.
    3. It links to the upload site and you should test the key after 10 – 15 mins after you enter the key details.

We hope this helps!
