Greetings, I'm using Truecrypt with a Yubikey NEO configured with the static password in slot 2. A few weeks ago, I ran into a problem where the NEO would immediately spit out the slot 1 password during my pre-boot Truecrypt password prompt. It seemed no matter what USB port I used on my laptop, I could not get the NEO to wait the five seconds and deliver the slot 2 password. After resorting to entering my key manually (luckily I had a printout), I created a support ticket with Yubico and have been carrying my old key with me ever since. This completely defeats the purpose of having the NEO. After testing this further, I've found a workaround to the second slot issue. It seems that if my laptop isn't plugged in, the second slot is unavailable. If I plug my laptop in, the NEO behaves as expected. This tells me that the NEO is very particular with USB output power and my laptop may produce a different USB voltage if it's plugged in versus when it's on battery. It's been three weeks now since my first support request (and over a week since I sent a follow-up email) and still no response from Yubico. Has anyone else had trouble with accessing the second slot on the NEO? Has anyone else had trouble with Yubico support lately? In the past they've been great, but this recent silence is troubling.
