Post subject: | Standard Yubikey & a Neo - only Neo works on tablet & mobile |
If this is a stupid question I apologize in advance, but here goes.... I have recently bought both a standard and a Neo Yubikey. They both work fine on my Windows pc to access Lastpass. Both my tablet and phone have NFC and the Neo works fine on both items for Lastpass access. The Neo works fine via OTG connector on both items, too. BUT when I attempt to use the standard yubikey via the OTG connector it isnt accepted. It does light up, it does transmit a code, too, but it's never accepted. Am I doing something wrong? Will mobiles only accept 1 Yubikey? I'd appreciate any guidance or advice! |

Hello, Does the yubikey validate on demo.yubico.com ? Could you check that the Yubikey is currently transmitting 44 characters OTP and none of them is left out (on the phone) |

Then open your phone, go on demo.yubico.com and emit an OTP with your cable. If there are 44 chars coming out and it does not validate please post screenshot of the error message which is returned by demo.yubico.com |

Hmmmm.... it DOES validate on demo, single factor or with password, it authenticates every time. Retried accessing Lastpass but same issue... Methinks this is a Lastpass (Android app version) issue, not a Yubikey issue ?? Oh & thanks for your VERY fast response/help, Tom. |

Are you sure you added that Yubikey correctly to your LastPass account ? Tom. |

Yep, both Yubi's are added correctly & valid........... However following on from your assistance yesterday I investigated further..... Deleted lastPass app & data from the phone & reinstalled it.... - Recreated my identity and successfully logged in using the STANDARD yubi, via OTG (of course). BUT I could not login using the NEO via OTG. (ie the opposite of yesterday's problem) THEN I successfully logged in with the NEO using NFC capability. BUT from that moment on I could not login using the Standard Yubikey; but I CAN login using the Neo via OTG or NFC. this therefore seems to me to prove the Yubikeys are valid & will work via OTG (or NFC if so capable) but you can't have more than 1 Yubikey on the Android version of Lastpass. (The 2 both do work on Windows pc tho.) |
