YubiRADIUS 3.5.1 Patch 1 to optimize the process of importing users from Active Directory or OpenLDAP

Problem Description

When importing users and groups information from Active Directory or OpenLDAP, YubiRADIUS 3.5.1 (YRVA3.5.1) can take a long time (e.g. it may in some cases take 10 - 20 minutes to import 2000 users depending on the complexity of the directory structure). Also this operation in 3.5.1. generates large log files due to which the disk space gets consumed quickly.

Solution

The YRVA3.5.1 optimization patch 1 reduces the time required to import a large number of users and groups from Active Directory or OpenLDAP (e.g. just a few minutes for 2000 users). Also it does not generate large log files. We recommend this patch even if your directory is smaller since it reduces the size of the log files generated during each import.
