Hi, I have just received my first Yubikey to secure my master password in LastPass. It works like a charm, and I now feel better about storing all my online passwords in the cloud.

I now look into using the Yubikey to store a long static password, but its unclear to me if I can to this together with using it with Yubico OTP service.
According to this, from the Web page, I can't: "WARNING! By re-initializing your YubiKey, either by manually programming a new AES key in the YubiKey or programming the YubiKey for OATH-HOTP or static password, you will lose ALL abilities to use that particular YubiKey against Yubico online severs"

I don't want to play around with the YK config Utility and risk blocking my LastPass access. The doc isn'y very clear about this senario.

Just make sure not to overwrite configuration 1 and you are be safe playing around with configuration 2.

We have a large numbers of users relying on this feature. Configuration 1 for dynamic OTP and configuration 2 for a static "hard-to-guess" password.

With the best regards,
