I suspect that this is down to my lack of understanding, but I'm seeing a difference between the output of gpg --card-status, and pivman.

I was experimenting with gpg yesterday, and managed to lock my Y4. Using PIV manager I reset the Y4, but gpg sees no difference. PIN counters are still 0, and if I add a cert to my Y4 using pivmanager, it is not seen on gpg. This persists across a reboot. Its almost as if there are two different devices.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Lloyd

The PIV and OpenPGP applets are not the same thing, and they have their own PIN retry counts, PINs, etc.

Ah. That makes much more sense. Never cease to be surprised at the capabilities of these little devices.

Thanks
