Hi,

I have been looking at the new Radius_On_Premise II virtual machine which works very well and is easy to set up when following the guide (and paying attention to case sensitivity of usernames....). I have hit one stumbling block though and I'm hoping someone else has already worked out a good way to resolve it.

My setup is a Netscreen SSG-140 firewall, using Radius_On_Premise II for the Radius authentication of VPN users and Shrewsoft as the vpn client. The authentication works fine but the Netscreen expects the Radius server to assign IP addresses and while Freeradius (version 2.0.4 - the version in Radius_On_Premise) does support dhcp functions it is in beta and requires recompiling from source. I can manually set the ip address to be assigned to the vpn connection in the Shrewsoft setup and if I do this then everything works perfectly - the only down side is I would need to manually set the IP address on each client install.

Are there any plans for Radius_On_Premise to support DHCP address assignment in a future release or any other ways to pass an IP address to clients?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Neal.
