I recently received my yubikey, and right out of the box i have set up for my lastpass authentication.

I'm just finding out all the posibilities, and now i am wondering if its safe enough to use the yubikey with the 'default' setup.
Should i regenerate the Yubico OTP, to make it more secure? Or is the default already as random as possible?

And if i regenerate it, will i need to setup my lastpass authentication again?
Or is it sufficient to upload the new config to Yubico?

There is no reason to configure a new Yubico OTP credential, and in fact, it's possible to run into sites that will only accept the default Yubico OTP credential (Salesforce is the only service I am aware of that only accepts the default configuration, but it is possible there are more - LastPass is accept either).

Instructions for programming a new credential are found here, if you choose to do so - https://www.yubico.com/products/service ... ey-upload/

If you were to program a new credential and you already have your YubiKey registered to LastPass, you would need to associate the new identity to your LastPass account (so you would want to disable the YubiKey requirement on your LastPass account before programming the new credential).
