New Linux user here having concern that my Yubico packages and tools are not being updated through the Ubuntu 14.04 software update process.

On the command line I manually update packages using sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade. But when the graphical update process appears on the desktop, which is often for me, the Yubico updates are always there but they are unselected and I am unable to check the box to select the update?
