I just bought a Windows 8 tablet (not RT). How can I utilize the Neo with it? Right now it just makes the "reading" sound, but nothing happens. What app do I need?

Hi Tom,

The tablet is a full Windows 8, not a phone. Do the instructions still apply?

Yes,

Windows 8 NFC stack is broken. They cannot recognize device that supports multiple standards such as the NEO which emulates mifare and ISO 14...-4 (can't remember the middle part)

You will need to modify your NEO to tell windows "we support only one standard" and windows will get that.

Thanks, I'll read through that once I've got a bit more time.

Just to clarify, I'll still need an application that utilizes the NFC? Meaning, it won't work like on the USB mode straight away? I'd like it to just output the OTP string to any texfield, since I'll be using the NEO to connect to VPN and log in to websites.
