Hi all- I'm starting to work with my YubiKey and I noticed that, according to the firmware settings, I have 2.0.1, but in a screenshot from an application, i saw there is at least a 2.0.2. Is there reason to upgrade the firmware? Is this even possible? I can't seem to find anywhere on the website that offers a firmware upgrade, so I'm thinking perhaps not. Thanks for any info. Ron |

Ah, I think I see from another post that the firmware is not upgradable. |

Right - the Yubikey firmware cannot be upgraded. It hopefully fosters some discipline to release bug-free firmware versions... Anyone with previous versions can take advantage of our December special where the 2.1 version with OATH-HOTP support can be purchased with a discount for existing Yubikey owners. As I missed this new feature announcement and discount in December, and I want to try to limit the amount spent on a hobby/test items, are there any additional plans for newer firmware that will provide additional features? |
