When testing the YubiKey NEO's NFC interface, we try to iron out bugs where we can. However due to the range and variety in the implementation of NFC in mobile devices today, accounting for all devices is not possible. Instead, we use the Nexus range of devices as a reference. This means that if you use your YubiKey NEO with a Nexus device, it should work. If you are using a non-Nexus device, we cannot guarantee support for it.

Below is a list of devices that have been confirmed to either work or not work with the YubiKey NEO.

Please tell us of your experiences they will be added to this list.

I think you should specify that you mean non-reader devices. I've also used it successfully with Gemalto Prox-DU for example.

Works on my Nexus 10 (aim for the top of the device near the rear or front facing camera-- can be used on both sides)

Works perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy S5. I tested it with LastPass, YubiClip, Yubico Authenticator, and Yubinotes. Last weekend I actually dumped 7 years of being an Apple iPhone fanboy just for this NEO NFC and the Galaxy S5 finger print scanner. Love it.

I use a Samsung Galaxy Young GT-S6310N with YubiTOTP (or YubiClip) for 2FA into Google which works well.

No problems using on Sony Xperia Z2 TABLET
(provided you hold the NEO right by the correct spot on the rear of the tablet! - marked by a tiny QR code emblem -
and have installed Yubiclip! )
