I am a bit frustrated, because I just wasted the extra money on a VIP Yubikey, due to the design of your software.

I would be using the OTP slot more often than the pre-configured slot on my VIP Yubikey, so when I noticed I could swap slots' configs, I was all for it. I did it successfully, and it still worked fine.

I noticed that the software warns when trying to overwrite slot 1 before I swapped slots, which is why I didn't do it.

However, after the swap, I soon destroyed the configuration. When I went to generate an ID and key/secret, little did I know that the software always defaulted to slot 2 regardless of which slot has the VIP-specific configuration. BOOM! $8 USD extra, wasted.

You guys surely support swapping slots on the VIP YubiKeys, because it still worked after doing so. However, this software needs to be updated to detect which slot has the VIP config, and default to the OTP slot. At the very least, make the software remember what slot you were configuring last.

Oh well, I found out I'm more happy with a OTP and OATH-HOTP configuration. I didn't know you need separate slots for them. I'm a tech wiz, but I never learned much in the area of encryption.
