Hi,
i have a new Yubikey 4 and works great on my mac (login on startup and login on screensaver).

But i have noticed that after the hibernation (like on the morning - after the backup with time capsule on the night)
i have to force shutdown my mac to login successfully with my yubikey.

What is or what i'm wrong?

Thanks

Martino

I'm not experiencing this problem on my Macbook Air running 10.11.3. It may have something to do with your USB ports and their power settings. Is the YubiKey lighting up after returning from hibernation? Have you tried removing and re-inserting, rather than rebooting, or removing the YubiKey before you start the hibernation? How about the model and firmware version of your YubiKey?

Same issue. Yubikey 4 nano, Firmware v 4.2.6, Macbook Pro w/ OSX 10.11.4

Only solution seems to be forcing system restart. Tried re-inserting, tried both USB ports, tried letting the system hibernate again.

Power on the USB ports of Macs and using USB keyboards seems to be pretty hit-or-miss with Macs, as on some builds, many customers report not being able to use external keyboard after waking from hibernation. I've seen a lot of reports online of this happening when performing an in-place upgrade to 10.11.4. This is not the only build version I've seen this on, however.

I have same issue where my Neo-4 yubikey is not working after hibernate or even some times after log-of and trying to log in again.

I am forced a HARD reset my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)

Any help on this?

Thanks,

I'm also having this problem. Is there any workaround yet? It's making Yubikey unusable for authentication on my Mac.
