Hi,

I recently bought a set of Yubikeys factory programmed for Password Safe (as set out in http://www.yubico.com/products/yubikey-hardware/password-safe-yubikey/ ). Fware is 2.4.2 Everything worked perfect.

Now I wonder what "secret" is hidden in slot 2. The personalization tool tells me that both slots are programmed.Ok, slot 1 spits out the code every time I touch the key. For making slot 2 "write" the user should touch the key "longer", say from 2-5 seconds and more. Well I did this having the input cursor in an active editor. The only thing the yubikey does is to spit out the OTP from slot 1. So I really wonder is my yubikey defunct?

So I do not want to write anything to slot 2 just in case there is something useful already in. Please can someone tell me that slot 2 is either empty or contains a function I may use or not. Second question: Say I programmed a static password to slot2, then how will the yubikey react if I press the capacitive plate "long" ( 3 - 5 secs)? Will it spit out the OTP stored in slot 1 - as it does now if I hold the key "long"?

TIA for your help

Greetings pepe

0,5 to 2 seconds will emit configuration in slot one.
2,5 to 5 seconds will emit configuration in slot two.

Please contact support@yubico.com to receive help on your issue.
