hello I would like to have the Yubikeys protected and I was hoping to use a standard prefix (example 123) and then the serial from the key. is that possible? |

Sure, but it has to be 12 characters, all numeric. The "use serial number" option is there for convenience (if you want to protect the credential from accidental deletion/reprogramming, you'd use this). Anything other than "use serial number" you would have to type in manually. |

I don't understand your question. If you select "use serial number", it'll the 7 digit serial number preceded by padded zeroes. If you don't select "use serial number", you can manually type in any 12 digits you want. |
