when looking at gpg --card-edit I get
Version ..........: 2.0
Manufacturer .....: test card
Serial number ....: 00000001
Name of cardholder: [not set]
Language prefs ...: [not set]
Sex ..............: unspecified
URL of public key : [not set]
Login data .......: [not set]
Signature PIN ....: forced
Among other data

is it possible to set these variables?

Also when I generate my card for the 1st time I create name email etc but when i plug in the card the 2nd time it is blank again
with no data

Hello,

Yes, these variables can be set after typing admin. type help to get a list of commands, and typing name for example will allow you to set your name.

I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean with your second statement. Can you paste the data you get on screen before/after?
