Post subject: | [SOLVED] Failure logging into Google using Chrome on Linux |
Hi there. I own a Yubikey 4 and using windows, I set it up as my primary second factor mechanism for logging into my Google account, so it works under windows. However, I use Linux (Fedora 25) as my primary platform of choice. There, when I attempt to log into Google (with Chrome browser), it prompts for the standard "Insert your security key." When I do (and before I even touch the button on the key), I immediately get a message from Google saying "Something went wrong. Remove your security key and try again." When I do so, the problem repeats, so I cannot use the key to complete login. The OTP functions of the key seem to work fine for other sites and applications on linux, so I don't *think* this is a hardware or driver issue, but perhaps it is. Is this a known problem? Is there a known solution? Thanks. Steve |

I solved the problem. Apparently you need to muck with udev rules to make it work. References: https://www.yubico.com/support/knowledg ... m-use-u2f/ https://support.google.com/accounts/ans ... 3543?hl=en |
