This is less of a question and more of an informational post...

I've got a Yubikey (the Password Safe variant) and a Surface Pro running Windows 8 Enterprise.

The Yubikey works flawlessly on every other computer I own, under Windows 8 and 8.1. But for some reason I've having trouble getting it to work on the Surface. In order to get Password Safe or the Yubikey Personalization Tool to recognize that the key is inserted, I have to run those apps as "Administrator." This is despite the fact that my domain account is actually in the Administrators group on this machine.

This is probably not an issue with the Yubikey nor the applications, but in case anyone else is having difficulties, this might help get them on the right track.

Also, if anyone can clue me in as to how to fix this (aside from making sure to run those apps as admin) I'm all ears. Thanks!
