I'm so happy to see this from the Yubikey newsletter today:

So, does it work only on PC where we have the "sidekick" application installed? How do i access my gmail from my phone?

Gmail lets you create one-time keys for your phone.

I was wondering if you can configure multiple Google Accounts with a single Yubikey?

As far as I've seen there is only gmail 2-way auth with yubikey using this addon tool. Which totally ruins the fun for me in fact,... The yubikey is used for mobility... if I have to install this compaginion tool on every pc every time when I need to log into my gmail, then it's no use.
Or is this possible without the tool? Anyone?

perhaps this is one solution just using the static password

from http://christiaanconover.com/yubikeyconfig

To use the static password, copy it from the text editor and paste it where you’re prompted to set a password. I would recommend using it in combination with a short password string that you’ve memorized. Make sure you place the memorized password ahead of the Yubikey static password, since the Yubikey presses Enter as soon as it’s put in the static password. By doing it this way, you effectively create a multi-factor authentication system in a simple password field: one part from something you know, and the other part from something you have. This makes it easy to remember your password, while still giving it superb stength by adding the 32 character random string from the Yubikey.

So what's all this OATH stuff I see about GMail? Is there a better way for this to work that doesn't involve installing stuff to the various computers on 3 different OSes that I tend to use on a weekly basis, or to coffee shop computers?
