Post subject:  What software license do you use?

Q: What software license do you use? Can I use your code in my closed-source product?

A: Each of our projects are distinct, and may have a separate license to be compatible with the area of interest. However, our basic server libraries (yubico-c and yubico-j) are licensed under the 2-clause BSD license. This license allows you to integrate the code in closed-source products.

For our PAM module, we use the same license as the upstream Linux PAM implementation: a dual-license between 3-clause BSD and GPL. For each project, you will find a file COPYING which explains the license.

Our intention is that the libraries should be as freely available as possible, so if you run into a licensing concern, please let us know and we will be happy to resolve it.
