We've made a new Windows personalization tool available, allowing a considerable higher throughput than the current one.
As Windows is slow in recognizing insert- and removals, this new tool works by the means of "doing things in parallel". In order to achieve a fast yet structured workflow, just stack up any number of off-the-shelf USB hubs you want. Insert Yubikeys and just as the last one has been inserted the first ones have been completed. As these are pulled out, the remaining one becomes finished. Then just proceed in a round-robin fashion and you'll never have to wait for the Windows insert- and removal latencies.
With this method, it seems like a throughput of > 500 Yubikeys per hour can be handled sustained without bending the back to hard.
Download the tool and documentation at:

Worth mentioning is that for large deployments, we have considerably faster equipment at Yubico. A newly developed semi-automatic rig personalizes > 10,000 keys per hour.
