I have just received my new Yubikey NEO, and I am trying to follow the instructions to use it with my Password Safe existing database, but in the Yubikey Personalization Tool, at the "Settings" page there is no "Save" button, instead there is an "Update Settings..." button, and if I clic on this last button the Yubikey Personalization Tool shows another page with an "Update" button and if I press this last button it appears a red warning saying "X YubiKey could not be configured. Perhaps protected with configuration protection access code?", whatever Configuration Slot I select I always get that message. If I go to the "Challenge-Response" page and then I clic the "HMAC SHA1" button then another page is shown and it is indicated "YubiKey(s) unprotected - Keep it that way".

What should I do to follow the instructions for the Password Safe software?

OK, I managed to have my Yubikey NEO, with firmware version 3.3.0, working with Password Safe V3.34.01. I just followed the instructions, the "Save" button is not needed, because the settings are saved automatically, and I think that the "Update Settings..." does not work just because a Yubikey NEO with firmware version 3.3.0 cannot receive firmware modifications.

But there is the problem that you have to touch the Yubikey NEO button varying times before the authentication works.

It appears to be an hardware problem, because it depends on how you touch the button if the authentication works or not. You have to slide lightly on the Yubikey NEO button with your finger to make the authentication work.

It always works at the first attempt if you touch the button that way.

OK, the secret is to touch the Yubikey NEO button just very lightly, in order to have the authentication to work! It does not matter if you slide your finger or not.
