Hi All, I had an idea for using yubikey with basic gmail using gadgets(as yubikey auth is only support for premier google apps). Basically the gadget should : - Once user logs onto gmail, the gadget loads in 5 seconds and redirects to yubikey authentication webpage. - The authentication webpage is set to top.location of the current page, thus masking the gmail page and initial cookie should be set(this is to avoid opening gmail on another tab and gaining access). - The gadget should not allow access to gmail page, as long as it sees the initial cookie. - Once the auth is successful, a new cookie is set and the user is redirected back to gmail page. Ofcourse, if anyone has a easier solution, please share here. PS:I am not a developer and hence posting this idea, if anyone can create such a gadget. |
