Hi. I recently had to replace my YubiKey Neo with a new one and the key appears to be different from the one I am replacing. First, it has an LED inside the button, which is worthless to me but shouldn't interfere with operation of the key.

I configured the key to work with LastPass on my Windows 8 phone, but the app doesn't appear to be able to read the tag contents as it did with the previous tag. In fact, it is not recognized as an NDEF tag on either my phone or on my computer. Both detect that a key is present but then say that the tag is in an invalid format even though I programmed it using the NDEF Programming section of the YubiKey Personalization Tool. Interestingly, the screen on the personalization tool indicates "NDEF successfully written" but the Programming Status shown on the right sidebar still says "Not configured." Is there another step that I need to perform after clicking on the Program button to configure the key? There is no obvious next step indicated.

The YubiKey Personalization Tool Application Version is 3.1.9 and the YubiKey Neo Firmware Version is 3.1.2. Thanks in advance for any insight into what is going on.

There are already numerous topics about this in the forum, please use the search function.

Regarding the led, all Yubikey have a green led. Probably in your previous NEO the led was faulty. The led is not worthless, it is indeed needed to indicate numerous "status" for the NEO.
