I have programmed a static password into slot 2. Unfortunately the password doesnt work as it contains a British Pound character (£) For example if I program it with qwert£yuiop it outputs qwertyuiop, missing the £ character Is there any way round this or will I need to use a different password that doesnt use this character? PS qwert£yuiop is not an actual password! |

Easy fix is to remove the pound Else, The Scan Code mode allows a YubiKey to be programmed to emit the desired static password. Type in the characters of your static password in the "Password" field using the keyboard and the tool will automatically fill-in the corresponding scan codes of characters in the field. The tool maps the scan codes assuming a US standard keyboard layout, so the results might differ depending on the layout you use. In such cases, try setting the keyboard layout to US standard and then typing the password as you normally would on your keyboard - the characters in the password field will not match but the eventual output will. |
