We've recently got a report from a user who uses the Yubikey for TrueCrypt. When the Yubikey is attached to a docking station together with an external USB keyboard, the Yubikey is not recognized. Removing the USB keyboard makes it all work. A second attached USB keyboard does not work either. Attaching a PS/2 keyboard is ok. To me, it seems like the BIOS only recognizes one USB keyboard (the first found probably). The user has HP 2540P, 8440P & 8540P laptops. Anyone seen a similar behavior in any other setup ? I don't have this to test, but it seems plausible. If you plug in the yubikey first and then attach the true keyboard, does the real KB fail to work? |
