Hi Everyone,

I am wanting to use my yubikey in Static Password mode, but I don't want it to issue a return (enter) at the end of the static password. How can I remove this?

I have Personalisation tool 3.0.2 and firmware version 2.2.3

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Gary

Hello,

Under the Settings tab, depress the "Enter" button under output format.

Thanks for your answer. I have tried this but it doesn't do anything.

Hello,

After you depress the enter you have to hit save at the bottom of the settings screen, and then reprogram the YubiKey with static password. I missed that save button myself when testing this a moment ago, quite hard to see and remember.

YEY thanks klas. It works now.

I wasn't missing the save button. I didn't realise you had to re-programme the static password after you click send. Works fine now! :)

Perhaps this would be a good little note to put in the next version of the personalisation tool as its not exactly obvious.

Thanks again

Yay, great!

My problem was missing the save button when I tried it.. I agree that it's not obvious how to get it right, we'll have to consider how to make it better.

I found the setting that removes/includes "enter" at the end but am I correct that if I deselect it that it removes "enter" from the OTP as well as the static actions? Is it possible to remove it from the static entry only while leaving it intact so that the OTP fires off with "enter" still?

Make sense?

Thanks!

I know this question is old, but I just set mine up successfully this way.

Since Klas mentioned above that the Static password is saved with the Settings that existed at the time the configuration was written, you would just want to do the following:

1: Static: Have the "Enter" depressed from the settings page when you program the Static password
2: OTP: Then unselect "Enter" and it will write that setting back to your key for the OTP, leaving the static alone.
