Hi all, Is it possible to combine challenge-response function with a static password? Say I put a Yubikey Nano in a usb slot, and want the computer to automatically log me in to the associated user account if the yubikey is present, but ask me for the username/password if the yubikey is not present, and if I change the user account password every now and then, I just update the static password on the yubikey so the automation would still work. The yubikey must be "challenged" automatically for this to work. Is this possible combined with a static password? ok - thanks for the reply. Would you say this is a more profound technical impossibility when it comes to the nature of Challenge-Response, or could it technically be possible to make such a function, hence possible for Yubikey to contemplate on such a new feature in the future? |
