Hello, I am a new user of Yubikey (standard) bought from Yubico directly, and, trying to use Yubikey's own setup ( Windows Login Tool & YubiKey Config) to secure my PC. However in the Yubikey Personalization Tool, when I set it up according to instructions, I get the following message in the "Results": "This Yubikey firmware version is not supported" The firmware is reported to be version 2.4.2 I use the YubiKey currently to secure LastPass, and want to use Configuration Slot 2 to protect Windows 7 on my PC... Please help! |

Hello, your first post was misleading. You are having an issue with the personalization tool not the windows logon. That is because you are using an out-of-date version of the personalization tool. Please download a new version from http://www.yubico.com/wp-content/upload ... 3.1.14.exe Thank you. |

Hello Tom, Thank you, that solved it! Problem arose when I followed a link in a tutorial that someone had done that led to the out-of-date program. A question: Can I use one YubiKey to secure two PCs, ie. my home desktop and my laptop? It would be mighty convenient if I could! Thanks |

You can use it on as many pc as you want as long as you follow the right practices. |
