Hello,

I am a new user of Yubikey (standard) bought from Yubico directly, and, trying to use Yubikey's own setup ( Windows Login Tool & YubiKey Config) to secure my PC.

However in the Yubikey Personalization Tool, when I set it up according to instructions, I get the following message in the "Results":

"This Yubikey firmware version is not supported"

The firmware is reported to be version 2.4.2

I use the YubiKey currently to secure LastPass, and want to use Configuration Slot 2 to protect Windows 7 on my PC...

Please help!

Hello,

We are currently investigating this issue. Can you provide us some screenshot?

Also can you run the software as ADMINISTRATOR?

Thanks

Tom

Hello Tom,

I ran the software as an Administrator, as you suggested.

I attach a screenshot of the result.

Regards

Hello,

your first post was misleading. You are having an issue with the personalization tool not the windows logon.

That is because you are using an out-of-date version of the personalization tool. Please download a new version from http://www.yubico.com/wp-content/upload ... 3.1.14.exe

Thank you.

Hello Tom,

Thank you, that solved it!

Problem arose when I followed a link in a tutorial that someone had done that led to the out-of-date program.

A question:
Can I use one YubiKey to secure two PCs, ie. my home desktop and my laptop?
It would be mighty convenient if I could!

Thanks
