Hi,
I am trying to enable Ybikey for Keepass.
Using the procedure published by Yubico.
Everything things to be done correctly, but when I am testing on Notepad I do have strange characters instead of digits:

é--à&è('
éé"&&'(à
'-é-è(à(

Any ideas ?

Thx

do you use some weird keyboard layout that handles numbers in a weird way? if yes it might be better so set it so it uses the numpad digits instead of the normal ones,

Yep, YubiKey uses scan codes to send passwords, so using a different keyboard layout will alter the characters - https://www.yubico.com/2013/07/yubikey- ... d-layouts/

and I guess there isnt any simple way to just send the characters without the whole scancode problem?

There are multiple options presented in the link I included on my previous post.

All these options are nothing more than Workarounds and sadly no "real" solutions, i wont say this is your fault (because it obviously isnt), i was just asking whether itnis technically possible to just output characters instead of scancodes, which leads to all of this.

No, if we went away from scan codes then we are no longer able to use the keyboard drivers, so another driver would have to be used.

So i guess no character based driver would be as omnipresent as your normal keyboard driver. Too bad.
