After doing some research to see how other unrecognized devices were handled in VMware Workstation I stumbled upon a solution. Current configuration:<br /><br />Host OS: Ubuntu 16.04<br />Guest OS: Ubuntu 16.04<br />Host is running VMware Workstation 12 (12.5.2) Pro<br /><br />Yubikey 4 is easily recognized by the host os and I'm able to move PGP keys over to it.<br /><br />I can't figure out how to get VMware to recognize the key and make it available to the guest OS though.<br /><br />I've made these changes to the VMX file but it hasn't proven useful.<br /><br /><div class="codetitle"><b>Code:</b></div><div class="codecontent">usb.generic.allowHID = &quot;TRUE&quot;<br />usb.generic.allowLastHID = &quot;TRUE&quot;</div><br /><br />I've tried googling but haven't found anybody with a successful configuration the same as mine.<p>Statistics: Posted by <a href="https://forum.yubico.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&amp;u=4692">gantzm</a> — Tue Feb 14, 2017 7:21 pm</p><hr />
