So it is a technical limitation, then?

Has this been suggested/discussed here previously?

I would think this would be very useful for many people around the world if it was technically possible (and securitywise ok).

Hello,

I don't think you can challgenge via HID the Yubikey using Javascript within the browser unless the browser has some kind of support for it.

Hi all,

For web logins not to expire, would it be possible to use Javascript to send a challenge-response request to an already-inserted Yubikey to renew the logout time automatically, without any user intervention, as long as the key is inserted?

If technically possible, obviously that would be something that the hosting web site would need to incorporate into their JS, but it would be interesting to know if it is possible.

And if possible, would it work on computers that does not have the Yubikey tray application installed?
