Hi,

you can use KeeChallenge (https://sourceforge.net/projects/keechallenge/) instead of OTP for KeePass. Then your setup will be:

Slot 1 - YubiCloud OTP
Slot 2 - Challenge Response HMAC-SHA1

On your Android Phone you need: KeePass2Android and YubiChallange to open your Database.

U2F doesn't work over NFC right now.

Yubico Authenticator don't depend on any Slot or NFS Setup because this is an extra App on your Yubikey.

cheers
Manuel
Statistics: Posted by aicahthohvip — Fri Jan 02, 2015 12:27 pm

Hi,

I have setup my Yubikey NEO with the Yubico OTP in configuration slot 1 and OATH-HOTP in configuration slot 2.
My intention is to use the Yubico OTP for 2nd factor authentication for example for Google (using Yubico Authenticator) and OATH-HOTP for my Keepass safe.
I also want to be able to use the Yubico Authenticator and my Keepass safe on my NFC enabled mobile device.
On my PC, I can easily switch between the configuration slots by holding de button on the key a little bit longer or shorter.
If I am correct, the Yubikey NEO only supports one configuration slot for NFC?

Currently, when I tap my Yubikey against my phone it will generate the key necessary for Yubico Authenticator's OTP.
However, I am not able to open my Keepass safe on my phone using NFC since OATH-HOTP is in slot 2 and the wrong key is being generated.
Now, I either need a PC for opening my Keepass Safe or generating the Yubico OTP (depending on what slot I configure to use over NFC).

Is there a solution such that I can both use Yubico OTP and a Keepass safe on both my mobile phone and PC?
For example, is there maybe a plugin for Keepass such that it allows it to secure the password safe using Yubico OTP?
If I am correct, U2F is not stored in either configuration slots.
Is there maybe a way to use U2F over NFC for opening a Keepass safe?
Or do you've got any other suggestions?
Statistics: Posted by exterminator — Fri Dec 26, 2014 2:37 pm
