Thanks Tom. I did some searching across the Symantec site and ran into a couple of their PDFs which stated "Symantec VIP hardware tokens do not expire and can be used for the life of the battery, typically 5-8 years."

...which isn't a bona fide 100% guarantee...but strong enough of a statement to allay my fears. :)

Does the Symantec VIP credential that is included with the Yubikey VIP product have an expiration date? If so, what is the approximate lifespan?

I only ask because some of the Symantec VIP soft tokens I've seen have a three year lifespan.
