Cannot get a working personalization tool

I tried downloading the MAC personalization tool. It downloads as the name "Unknown". The file is a xar file? Nothing on my MAC knows how to handle it.

I tried apt-get (on Ubuntu precise, with updated sources-list). It tried to install MySQL, which failed.

I tried to build from github sources but it appears I need Qt, which requires me to register for a Qt license?

What else can you suggest?
