I recently bought a yubikey neo, but I can't get it to work on my win 10 machine. The behaviour I get is inconsistent:

  • Sometimes when I connect it, it freezes my mouse and keyboard. This remains until I unplug the Neo
  • Sometimes it seems to register fine, but when I press the button, I get a driver error in my devices window
  • Sometimes I don't even get the driver error, but it doesn't do anything. When this happens the NEO manager and the personalization tool indicate a problem as well:

On Android and Mac it works just fine, so the problem seems to be with my Windows machine. Other than reinstalling windows (which I'm really not going to do), is there anything I can do to solve this issue (yes, I've tried the other suggestions in the announcement)
