I believe in Terminal you can alternatively run:

sc_auth pairing_ui -s enable

(and I don't think it requires a restart either. After running you would remove and reinsert the YubiKey as it only prompts upon insertion of a smart card.

Hello Fixxxer,

Open a terminal from Utilities>> Terminal and type "sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.smartcard UserPairing -bool Yes" without the quotes. Reboot and attempt to pair again.

Issue with setting up PIV on Mac OS 10.12

In trying to use the YubiKey PIV Tool, I mistakenly clicked on "Do not Show this Message" when the dialog box opened up asking to confirm pairing of the certificate. Does anyone know how to get this dialog to open up when i insert my Yubi to complete the PIV pairing to OS Sierra?
Essentially I am referring to the dialog box that opens in step 4 & 5 in the following instructions:

How do I get that dialog box back?
Please help!!
